SI joint irritation

My right SI joint gets flared up about once a year - dealing with it right now. No real acute precipitating factor that I noticed, but more of a gradual onset. I know that it'll get back to normal in about a week. What do you do to help get back to normal ASAP and prevent future SI joint irritation?
I guess starting a nightly 15 min. routine wouldn't be a bad idea - couch stretch, lizard stretch, elevated pigeon, McGill big 3, clamshells, glute bridges, side bends, alternating toe touches??
What y'all got?

Good hip extension or hip flexor mobility
Keep your gluts strong as hell
And have good hip control and balance with single leg type movements (RDL’s, step ups, single leg squats, things of that nature)

I use to have this problem a lot when I did CrossFit -- seemed like it was poor form and some imbalance. Anyway, going to the chiropractor was very helpful.

SL RDLS always make my back and hips feel good. I need to start incorporating those back into my program. Thanks for the advice!
Did some stretches, glute bridges, clamshells, etc. last night and this morning and feel way better today.

I sprained mine once. I used water running to recover and started doing heavy squats and deadlifts weekly. I haven;t had an issue since. I still have issues with my piriformis and illiopsoas, but that is a different issue. I need to work on my hip mobility as someone already suggested. Stretching relives the pain and sciatica but does little if anything to fix the problem.
