Wife is starting a home workout program. One of the sets we found is the Pro Elite. Add on the 20 lb plates and it’s all around $500 total.

I don't know what a pump set is but that's quite a bit more than I paid for my barbell and 315 lbs of iron weights.

It's one of the shorter length barbells (?). I don't know why it's called that either. The one at the link above is 51" and seems to be geared towards group fitness programs.

Here’s another couple that I found. Anyone with experience with these brands that can comment to their quality?

So I'm reading up and this is apparently designed as sort of an aerobic workout using fairly light weights. I assume it is a class she'll be following along on video? Since the weights are light I don't think durability will be a huge problem and any of those ought to be suitable. I'd go with the cheapest one. You can always upgrade.

I've been looking for the same thing. My wife just got a Concept 2 rower and already has some dumbbells and resistance bands.
She wants to cancel the gym membership and work out at home, but she also uses 20lb and 30lb fixed weight barbells for strength and toning exercises (low weight/high reps) I told her no problem, just go to Academy and get a barbell and some plates.
Problem is all the barbells weigh almost more than she lifts by themselves. Does anyone make a 10 or 15lb barbell?
The next problem is finding barbells or plates anywhere that aren't marked up $$$ over retail.
Any suggestions?

I bought a set similar to this one a long time ago.
The bar doesn't weigh very much and it comes with 2.5 and 5 lb plates. Only problem is the threaded collars are a PITA if you are changing plates a lot.
Here's a similar one on Amazon for $45 says it weighs 15 lbs. Apparently they have some 1" quick lock collars too, I may buy some of those myself.

that looks perfect. Now I just have to find 2.5lb, 5lb, and 10lb plates for her

Ended up buying the Pro Elites in the OP. For just under $400 it came with the linked set plus two extra 10 lb plates.
Expensive yes, but will save over in-person classes and they are quality items.
One of the big factors as stated in the reviews are their hex shape so they don’t roll when putting them down. That, plus the quality of the item and lock, was enough justification to get them.
For reference the Les Mills brand are about 2x the cost of these.
