that's where i got the idea to squat four days and deadlift two days per week.

great for weight loss, testosterone and growth hormone. even more so if age 40 and over.

spinning would probably be considered active recovery. As a powerlifter I did a smolov training cycle. it had me squatting 4 or 5 days a week. you ended up getting weaker towards the end of the cycle but when you took your week off you would come back stronger. i think you'll be fine if nothing is hurting.

Damn that sounds nuts. I'm currently at 2 days squatting and 1 day deadlifts (plus auxiliary lifts) so I'm 3 days a week of heavy legs. I'm loving it so far, but don't think I have the strength to go to that sort of volume.

Maybe after a year or so of continued increase I'll be able to add a day. Good on ya!

yeah i been at it a while.

i don't have a "leg day".

bench
weighted chest dips
barbell curls
leg ext, leg curls (superset)
squats on days 1 and 4.

incline bench
lying tri ext
alternating incline dumbell curls
leg ext, leg curls (superset)
squats on days 2 and 5.

pullups
some variation of rows( usually barbell or lawn mower pulls)
military press
all three shoulders raises in a superset
deadlifts
weighted hyperextensions or stiff leg deadlifts(with barbell or alternate legs with dumbells)
shrugs on days 3 and 6.

I feel your pain.. I’ve had to take in the waist on all my pants. I have a 31 waist but have to buy 32s or 33s to fit my arse and my quads

The guy at my alteration shop laughs every time.
