A few months ago I stepped In a odd way while playing tennis. The knee gave me a little “jolt” - I didn’t think much about it at the time. So currently I have full movement, hardly any issues during the day. At night while trying to sleep the pain feels like a small ice pick and to help relieve pain I lay on my back and bend the knee towards the ceiling.
Thoughts? Since a have full mobility etc. I don’t understand what the pain is coming from?
No swelling or discoloration etc

Agree.

Surgery is easy. No pain.

I also read that in some cases surgery can be avoided- the little and off times it aches I’m hoping rehab might do it. But I appreciate it

Yes don't be in a hurry for surgery. It can heal itself if it's not a complete tear

Thanks. Some days I feel that it’ll be fine without surgery or after flying for about half the day I thought I would need a wheel chair to get thru my last 2 connections

Get an MRI if you’re having a lot of pain

Had my knee scoped Wednesday for this.
Walked out of hospital. Stitches out Friday and then some rehab. No big deal and I am 60.
