W4D4 done! (Very unconventional)
For warm-ups I used a 50# sandbag.
I attempted to use a 75# sandbag plus resistance bands for squat.... that wasn't happening. Crap was WAY too difficult to get setup and in position. Ended up just going with resistance bands. I rounded all weights up and also increased the rep count.
For the RDLs, I did the same thing. Bumped the weight and reps up each set. By the final set I was out of bands so added even more reps to it. I couldn't get good resistance extremely low in the movement, so I made sure to hold a little longer at the very top of the motion.
The combination of a heavy sandbag and resistance bands worked surprisingly well for the bent rows. I used a little higher band to compensate for the lower resistance at the beginning of the lift.
DB pullovers I added a band to it and anchored it to the heavy sandbags. Again I used a few higher bands to make sure I got the typical deep muscle pulls I'm used to.
Bench press was done standing up as a chest press with resistance bands anchored midway on a door. I increased the weight and reps since they seemed easier than normal. I think the most difficult part was keeping the bands steady when fully stretched.
Hammer curls and pushups were normal since I had heavy enough dumbbells already.
Finished with the walking lunges. For these I threw the 75# sand bag on my shoulders (barbell sytle). I surprisingly liked this better than the typical DB walking lunges.
Either way I got it finished and worked up a hell of a sweat doing it.

Knocked out w4d3 today; will finish tomorrow. I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I think it was one of the hardest PPSA programs I’ve run. I think I benefitted from doing more BSS/RDL/glute work but I didn’t especially enjoy it.. We did the first 2 sets of 8 split squats with 70 lb dbs tho today so I certainly got a lot more comfortable with them.
