I tried searching, but I'm on mobile and nothing popped up.

Myfitnesspal is showing me over my % goals on carbs, fats, and proteins, but I'm still under the grams that I have to hit my goal %.

Ex:

117g carbs goal. 76g consumed. Showing 27% and my goal is 25%.

Maybe I'm not understanding, but figured I'd ask.

Those percentages are based on the number of calories consumed so far.

So say you have 100g of protein right now. It will lower the percentages of your carbs and fat intakes and up your % protein.

At the end of the day once all of your calories are logged you want to be within ~5% of each macro goal.

ETA: I suck at explaining things via text so I'm sure someone will come behind me and explain it more clear while using fewer words.

I kinda get what you're saying. I'm hungry af, so if I have the extra calories to eat and won't mess up my %es, fat boy is gonna eat what he can

As Lazy said, the percentages are a "running count" for lack of a better term. Had a buddy get confused like that as well. He ate breakfast and then called me pissed because he thought he couldn't eat again for the rest of the day

I have 400cal left, but I'm on the verge of my carbs and fats....but have a good bit of protein left. And I'm out of time to eat due to IF

This is gonna take some getting used to..lol

ETA: I'm talking gram wise, not %

It will take a little getting used to for sure. I don't really do the whole meal prep thing, I've pretty much just gotten the hang of knowing what I can eat, how much, and when. I keep certain snacks handy, so that as I track my macros I can throw them in to keep my numbers where they're supposed to be.
