I found out Monday after a pre-op blood test (hip replacement surgery) that my blood sodium level was 127...the normal range is 135-145. In my case, it has been caused by drinking too much water combined with a low sodium diet. I’ve started curtailing my daily water intake, drinking more electrolyte beverages (pedialyte and MyHy) as well as upping my sodium intake. Have any of you experienced this and, if so, what did your physician do to correct it and what steps did you take to improve your blood sodium level? I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow.

Thanks in advance!

My mother had it several years ago brought on by a case of the flu. It caused her to have a seizure. One thing they told her was not to drink so much plain water. Juice, sports drinks, etc instead. She drinks a couple of sprites or powerades a day.
