Anyone know why this would be happening? I switched to low bar squats about 6 months ago and for the first time in my life I’m really making consistent progress on my squats. I genuinely look forward to squats like I never have before.

However, lately my front left shoulder has been killing me after squatting. It’s basically the spot right where the shoulder and the pec intersect (bro science description), and it’s pretty damn painful. I’m fairly good about stretching and doing mobility work. Anything else it could be?

Should pain with low bar is not unusual. I typed in “low bar s” and it suggested shoulder pain. I never had much issue but you can find info on YouTube and such

Could be positional, but that’s also the area where the long tendon of the biceps passes though as well, and irritation there is a huge cause of shoulder pain, so may be related to other lifts, or arm positions during the squat.

Low bar squats will do that. I would recommend programming in other squat variations, if you have access to a safety squat bar that would help. Still do low bar squats if you like them that much, but the SSB bar takes all the pressure off the shoulders and still lets you work squats hard. Maybe alternate them.
