I call it all running but I may refer to it occasionally as a “jog” if I really slow it down to a 10:30-11 min + pace. I think it’s all relative to one’s fitness level.

Maybe we can get an tOfficial Jogging Shoe Thread.

I spend 90% of my miles on trail with elevation gain from 200ft to 2000ft+, so based on time/pace alone I never know whether to label the activity as running/jogging/hiking/walking on Strava.

Reminds me of a quote I heard once, the great thing about trail running is if you get tired and slow down then you are still hiking vs road running and you slow down you are just a bitch walking.

That’s what I was going to say.
I don’t think speed has anything to do with it.
A marathoner who can do 6 minute miles is jogging if he’s doing a 9 minute pace for a 5K.
An old guy like me is running if I’m doing a 9 minute pace for a 5K.
