Continue fast after colonoscopy

Just had a colonoscopy for continued stomach infections (I’ve spent a lot of time in Central America). The results came back all good. I’m about 30 hours into a water fast. Should I just keep it going for 48-72 hours for the sake of my microbiome. Can any of you see the benefit in doing that? I’m headed back to Central America soon so I want to have my gut bacteria in optimal condition as well as my immune system higher than before.
