Centurion Fitness or Golds Gym

So I am just starting to get back into exercising after a long battle with severe GERD and Gastritis. I need about the same distance from each of these gyms in the BR/Prarieville area.
I was wondering if anyone had any preferences or experience with either of these and if they require masks when working out?

I’ve never been in Centurion, so I can’t speak for them. But I am a member at Golds and have no complaints. There was a time there, for a while, where they weren’t keeping the place very clean (vacuuming, mopping, etc.) and they weren’t running the AC on some days and it was hot AF. They had some financial issues I believe. But they have since recently re-purposed the CrossFit room to lease it out and they put a wall up in the main weight training room to make it smaller and will lease out the end suite. So the gym is a little smaller now, but they managed to fit all the same equipment in nicely and they are keeping up with the place much better. It’s still one of if not the largest gym in the immediate area. They have a large free weight area and a ton of machines and cardio equipment as well. It can be a little crowded in peak afternoon hours on weekdays, but so is every other gym. I avoid that time slot most days and almost never have to wait for equipment. The staff is cool and they do offer several different cardio classes if your into that sort of thing. I have no reason to say any other gym in that area would be better than Golds.
ETA: mask optional. There’s a sign on the door but they are cool about it
