cataract surgey

Eye Dr. has recommended cataract surgery with lens implant. They say this should improve my vision enough so I won't have to wear contacts in that eye.
Anybody ever have this procedure? What were/are the results?

Yes. Went from having very poor eyesight to so-so eyesight. Still need glasses to get 20/20.
