Best temporary brace or wrap for a broken hand?

Break is near the trapezium bone (under thumb, above wrist). Should I just ice and wrap? Plan on seeing a doc tomorrow. TIA

Maybe go to an urgent care center and let them wrap it so that you don't make it any worse. I did that when I broke my wrist; they x-rayed it and gave them to me to bring with me to the orthopedist; also gave me a shot for pain. Was lucky to see the Orthopedist that same day, though. Turns out, I had to have surgery to fix it.
