I heard awhile back (...I’m talking 2-3 years ago) that he is a huge believer of yoga and found that interesting but never looked into it. Randomly, I thought about this yesterday and looked him up to find that he has a whole yoga system with DVD workouts and certification. Makes sense that he does yoga with all the beatings those wrestlers take.

My legs and lower back are incredibly tight...have been for as long as I can remember...and I suspect it is related to thoracolumbar scacia issues stemming from genetics or diet. I may look into his system as well as a way to manage the tightness.

I'm sure the yoga would be very helpful for you. I'd suggest just find some free ones on YouTube. I'm sure dp didn't find some magic blend of yoga. Yoga by Adrienne or something should do it.

By the age of 14, Bikram was known as an exemplary Yoga practitioner. Within his lineage, he was declared to be a Yoga Raj, or King of Yoga. Unfortunately, or fortunately as the case may be, at age 20, Bikram suffered a severe weightlifting accident that crippled him. Bikram was told that he would never walk again.

With the expert guidance and support of his guru, Bikram created a series of 26 yoga asanas that ultimately restored his health. To the doctors’ amazement, he made a full recovery in six months through the ardent practice of this 26 asana posture series. Several years later, Bikram opened up Yoga schools in Japan and India. In 1972, he traveled to the United States and opened up the Bikram Yoga College of India that is flourishing today.

Apparently Bikram has fled the country back to India because of assault and rape charges. So if you decide to do the hot yoga, you may want to make sure it isn't affiliated to him and giving him money. That is your call though.

You should watch the new doc on Netflix. He didn’t invent anything other than his own story. Ripped off his system from his teacher.
