Anyone have experience with Bicipital Tendinitis

I've been having shoulder pain in both shoulders right above the armpit. Play soccer, softball, and jog a few times a week. Was lifting weights prior to the injury, but have cut it out hoping the pain (more of a tingly sensation) would go away.
Finally went to the doctor after about 2 months of this feeling and discovered I have Bicipital Tendinitis. He gave me a week supply of steroid anti-inflammatory. Didn't seem to work, the next suggestion is a shot in each shoulder.
Anybody have this before and worked through it?
Any info would help

My wife had some similar shoulder pain(tingly sensation and some muscle pain) that bothered her for a long time. Not sure of the exact diagnosis but the doctor sent her to physical therapy. Physical therapist said it was from a nerve running through her armpit area(don't remember the name) but reaching it was a real trick. Involved pinching in the armpit/lat area. My wife said the improvement was instant. Some basic exercises with assistance from a foam roller and now she never has issues. She stays active and works out allot so that helps too I am sure.
No idea if you have the same thing but there is hope. Sometimes the solution is not obvious though.
