While at LSU, I spent a year scraping it around with a "set" of old Wilson Tour Staff blades and Hogan persimmon woods. I was sitting in the old LSU pro-shop (where shirts must be worn while inside) and picked up a Golfsmith catalog. It was life altering. I made a set of Tour Model II's a month later, and my uncle gave me a used Taylor Made Tour Burner driver. I ended making a dozen or so sets of Golfsmith clubs for friends over the next few years.
From there, Tommy Armour 845's and an original Big Bertha driver, followed by Ping eye 2's (with the infamous square grooves), Ping Zings w graphite shafts (wtf was I thinking) and then Ping ISI's with Vokey wedges which I still use. While chasing yardage over the years, I have tried way too many different metal woods to name.
