What are some drills to get your lower body more involved in your swing?

I started playing about 10 years ago, stopped playing and picked it back up at different times but now that my kids are interested I’m playing much more.

Had my first fitting yesterday.

I was told that my swing is almost entirely upper body and arms.

When it goes straight I’ll drive the ball about 230-250. I feel like I’m leaving a lot of yardage on the table just swinging upper body.

What are some good ways to get my lower body more involved?

Baseball Swings at waist height, then slightly lower until you get to golf ball height. It is a very similar motion where the lower body initiates the downswing and everything follows. Good Luck!

Take an alignment stick, put it through your front 2 belt loops (so it runs parallel to your target). Take a few half wedge swings and focus on trying to turn that alignment stick 90 degrees on your follow through.

The first couple of swings you’ll realize how little you get your lower half involved.

ETA: put your feet together during this drill.
