Weekend golf trip recommendations

Looking to make a weekend trip with a few buddies to a golf course within driving distance of Baton Rouge (Texas, Arkansas, Miss, Alabama). Obviously a nice course is a must but also somewhere that has a decent night life.

Nightlife means either Lake Charles (Golden Nugget) or Beau Rivage (Fallen Oak, Grand Bear, Preserve)

I would do Biloxi or Birmingham if I were you...

Biloxi (Preserve, Grand Bear, Fallen Oak)
Mobile (36 at Magnolia Grove and a short course)
Houston (Cypresswood, GCOH, Blackhorse, Memorial Park)
Montgomery (Capitol Hill)
If you consider beach bars like AJ's and Florabama night life...
Gulf Shores/Orange Beach (Kiva Dunes, GSGC, Lost Key, Peninsula)
Destin (Regatta Bay, Kelly Plantation, Indian Bayou, Windswept Dunes)

Just played The Preserve this past weekend, only 11 miles from Biloxi casinos, only 2.5 hrs from BR.
Course was in magnificent condition…
