Did anyone play at the tournament Trails End had a little over a week ago? We had a group play out there on Saturday and it was without a doubt the worst I've ever seen it.

Granted they got the freeze just like everyone else and must have just recently punched the greens. I'm just trying to see if it was as bad before the punch.

We hated to see it like that because it's the perfect halfway point between Monroe and Shreveport.

It was decent when I played it a month ago, but you could tell the freeze got them really bad. Plus you’re right the recently punched and when they punch, they live to dump an assload of sand on the greens. It takes a month or two to get back to normal.

Ya, I mean the greens were unputtable. It also looked like the holes hadn't been moved in a long time. Almost all of the rims of the cups were damaged.

I'm hoping they get it back right.

Just finished playing. You’re right about the greens. They lost them for sure.

I talked to the guy in the pro shop. He said after the freeze, they were overtaken with poa and they had to kill it all. He said it’s going to take a full season to get them back.

I have been very worried about courses like this. Small courses that struggle to make it in the best of times are going to struggle with the after affects of the freeze. I played there in March. The greens were rough, but it’s a fun course & good layout. I hope they make it.

If you’re looking for a course in that part of the state then head to Jonesboro. I played there once last year and again about a month ago and they have the course (especially the greens) in great shape.

I went by there last month to ask about it. The guys sitting around the snack bar were very high on it. I may make the run up there for a round.
