TaylorMade Stealth 2 HD Driver

I just received the driver and have not been on the course with it yet. Now that the QI10 is out the Stealth 2's are at $399 and I got it. The Stealth 2 came out in '23 and that is latest and greatest in my book. Plus I'm not spending $600 for the QI10. I hit the club beforehand in Edwin Watts and really like the feel and consistency with which I was hitting it. Do any ya'll hit the HD model? Is there really a noticeable difference with the draw factor?

I had the Stealth 2, face had a little separation so the company did a warranty replacement and sent me a Qi10 LS head at no charge (the carbon face has had some issues with the Stealth so remember this).
So I’ve hit both. I was very reliable with the stealth 2, hit a consistent draw, and could work it the other way at need. I don’t quite have the Qi10 figured out yet, but the Taylor Made rep was back this week and helped me get it set up. Hit 9 of 11 fairways with it today (used 1-iron the other 3).
If I’d still had the stealth almost certainly would have hit driver every hole, really easy to hit. I hit the Qi10 further when I connect and the fade goes further when I need to work one the other way.
Smart to buy last year’s model, good value IMO.

Titleist U505. Really easy to hit, they may 1,2 and 3 that I’ve seen. I have the 1 and 3

I played 9 yesterday and hit the 6 fairways in really good position which is fantastic for me. I absolutely love this driver. I just ordered the 20 deg (3) hybrid HD last night. At $199 thats a decent price. Im sold on the HD’s.
I was playing a 15 year old Cleveland Launcher and noticed an immediate difference with the TM. Not necessarily noticing any distance gain, marginal if any, but in accuracy for sure.

They’re easy to hit. I’ll be glad when I get this Qi10 figured out. I still have my stealth 3w and it’s pretty easy to work it either way

Club just wants to fade, and I’ve been playing a draw for a lot of years. When I catch it right (like today on Legislator #15 today) with a baby draw it goes a long way. First time I’ve driven that green.
Forcing the swing has me going all over the place at times

Played with my Qi10 max today and it was all over the place. I tested the driver with a Hazard Smoke shaft 65g x stiff and was crushing it. Instead, i ended up buying from manufacturer due to limited stock in store. Got the KBS x stiff 70g and it sucks arse. The kick point or flex point in the shaft feels wrong in my swing. Dont really know how to explain it. Plus, today I hit a heel cut and the damn thing went straight pull with no fade. Ended up in the wood line and double bogeyed. Was completely pissed off.
My old driver would have cut the ball back into the middle of the fairway but with 20 less yards. Buyers remorse at the moment

I had those KbS xstiff in my irons and ripped em out. Felt like swinging a fence post. No clue where the club head was. Have broken 80 3x since the swap

Just went to QI10LS 8° with xflex from Stealth2 with ventus black 6s and literally picked up 25 yards. It’s mind blowing.
My plan was to to put my ventus shaft into the new head because I didn’t think I could swing the 65gX but I guess it just fits

quote:Yep, hard to explain, just feels wrong. When I catch it solid in the clubface and try to hit a baby fade it just jumps off the club. I’ve played a draw for 40 years so playing fade I’m really not wanting to do.

I agree that the way the club is made really fights working the ball on off center hits.
I murdered the Callaway when I tested it. If I can’t get a shaft that works for this (honestly think I can) it’s headed for the great used driver graveyard.

Do you play that 3W in the fairway or mainly tee it up? I was never consistent with fairway woods. In the fairway I either slap the shite out of it or I'm hitting an obscene fade (I'm a lefty). More often the latter. Off the tee I can get some distance and I'm much more consistent with a 3W. Now hybrids are a little different for me in the fairway.
I'm trying to upgrade some of my clubs because I had a bit of a hiatus and haven't updated anything in 17 years. I had a Callaway 3W (can't remember what model, I think it might have been a Bertha) back in the day for like 2 weeks before it was stolen and never got another one.
