Recently hit the irons and really liked them. What shaft would be recommended for a higher handicap player?

Shafts aren’t usually fitted by handicap. It would depend on your swing speed, how you load the shaft in transition, ball flight, etc.
Any steel shaft in regular or stiff flex is going to work for most people. The better you get the more you’ll want to dial in on a perfect shaft for your swing.

Where could I go to get that fitting? Or would it be more that I might not need that level of fitting right now? May want until I get better.

A lot of the shaft manufacturers will have an online survey that can get you close.
Most independent golf shops and places like Dick’s and Golf Galaxy can do it.
The best and usually the most expensive option would be an actual club fitter. Most large cities will have one and you could also use someone like Club Champion.
Where are you located and how $erious are you about your golf game?

Proper weight and flex is more important than right shaft OEM for high handicapper guy.
High handicapper tends to be more inconsistent in loading the shaft and won’t notice much difference between the lines.
ETA: find the Srixon fitter. He’s got lots of options and a track man. Edwin Watts could provide dates/contacr

I’m sure someone from here can direct you to a local fitter but I’m not familiar with any of them in that area.
You could try Edwin Watts but not sure if they sell Srixon or not.

I’d go blast plastic balls against the nets at copper mill and order from there based on what looks good at address, you can always adjust the specs from there to something you like to look at

Modus 105 will fit a lot of people. If solid 7 iron goes 155 or more get the stiff, less get the regular.

Flex should be looked as more trajectory control than distance. I get some of the best shots with regular mid/mid
