Srixon Z5s or Mizuno 921 Hot Metal Pros irons

Which would you choose based upon the following:
Avg 7 distance 165 and 7 hcp
Z5s will have Nippon 105 stiff shafts
921s with have Project X LZ stiff
In the summer here in Houston the fairways get firm and lies get tight, so thinking about turf interaction along with some forgivness.
Any recommendations between the two ?

I have Srixon 565s with Project X shafts. On a hard pan lie, they can sometimes give you more feed back than youll want.
Both clubs are great with great shafts. You really cant make a bad choice here.

Why don’t you just go hit both with both shafts in each club and see which one you like the best?

I have, struggling with a decision.
Plus I am the one guy that launch monitors like Golf Galaxy has don't work on me.
Every time I hit in those bays it read that I am blocking everything right, but the reality is that yes my ball starts right but draws back 10 yards easily with every club.

All personal preference but I'd go Mizuno myself.

I wouldn’t go Mizuno until you get to 921 Forged.

Not the same clubs but I went from 900 HM with recoil shafts to Srixon 585 with modus and picked up a club of distance. My old miss was a chunk, and I’ve yet to chunk one with the v-sole. Your results may vary.

I think the zx5 would be more comparable to the 921 forged and the zx4 more comparable to the 921hm pro.
I play a 585/785 mixed set. I got better dispersion and consistency from srixon than the mizunos. And they look better at address to me. Srixon does a hell of a job hiding top line thickness.
Eta: Srixon offers 10 different shaft upgrades at no charge.
