I could not imagine there being a more idiotic way to compare golfers. The entire purse for the 1997 Masters was $2.7M. Scheffler won $3.6M for winning yesterday.
Oh, and the singles biggest reason the purses have increased at such an exponential rate (basically 800%) is Tiger Woods.
I love Scheffler and what he is doing (2 majors) at age 27 is amazing. By age 27, Woods had won EIGHT majors.
