My 7-year-old randomly asked me if he could start playing golf.
He obviously cant use my clubs.
Are there kid-specific clubs i should get?
My research has essentially told me that at this point I just need to get him a putter and a 9-iron so that he can get the feeling of putting and getting the ball in the air.
Any other thoughts?

I asked this the other day. Us kids has some. Top flite also has some. I got my 5 year old some top flites for her bday. They are still in the box bc her bday is in a few weeks, but they look sweet. The plastic clubs she was swinging weren't cutting it.

US Kids is usually the go-to. I didnt want to spend much at all, so I pieced a few really cheap things together from Ebay for my kid. I got a Nike set(Fairway wood, 7ish iron, putter, and bag) for probably $60 total and regripped the wood and iron myself. If she is actually using those and seems interested, I'll be more than happy to spend more next time.

My boy had broken all the plastic clubs I've bought him. So for his 4th birthday, I got him the Cleveland Golf kids set in small. Came with 3 wood, 7 iron, putter, and bag. All nice quality. Was $150 from Rock Bottom Golf.

He didn't give a shite about the new golf clubs... Hopefully he will grow into them.

Just got my son some US kids golf clubs. If he's never played before start him off with a putter and wedge. Get the ones that make him grip it correctly. Work your way up from there. Don't buy a set yet, if he's like my son he doesn't want to be taught by me just wants to hit it.

I got my 5 y.o. these Top Flites from Dick's and they've been great for him to knock it around with.

I looked up the height of each club for my grandson and cut my wife's old titleist dci's to fit him.
Also cut my old Taylormade 320 driver to his height according to the US kids for golf.
