I searched and saw some mentions of the Rapsodo MLM2Pro. Made a hitting area in the back yard with a net a mat set up a month or so ago. Always planned to get a launch monitor eventually, but broke down and got the Rapsodo yesterday as an impulse buy. Was hoping to get more out of it without the premium membership. But after playing with it for 30 minutes, looks like it's really needed if you want info more than distance / ball speed / launch angle. If anyone is using it, is the membership worth it? Not cheap at $200 a year and don't know if I'm going to need it enough to pay the $500 lifetime fee.

Also, so far, the numbers seem a little short for me. Using their marked balls and seem to be coming up 15-20 yards shorter than what I've seen at the range (which has top tracer and confirmed with range finder). It was a quick 25 balls to see how it worked and certainly some bad strikes in there, but even the perfect strikes seemed to come in shorter than what I'm used to. Possibly a set up issue.

Yep, and I figured if I’m gonna drop $700 on it might as well spend the extra and get the lifetime membership.

As far as distance goes it seems to be pretty accurate. I use mine at the range and it might be + or - a few yards but mine hasn’t been off by twenty.

On the distance issue, check out any message boards about this model. It's finicky on how it needs to be set up.

I have had one for almost a year. You definitely need the membership. Use the RPT balls, make sure your distance to net and from monitor to ball is correct. It’s extremely accurate for its price. Biggest problem I have is disconnects in my shop. Direct connection has zero issues but connected over Wi-Fi gives me problems in a metal building.

So got the distance sorted. Don't know if it was set up or what, but a perfect 7 iron might get 156 yds yesterday and is just around 170 yds today on average. Right in line with what I've experienced at the range. Started the free trial period today as well. Still seems buggy. No issues hitting and getting data on each ball. Flight path seems consistent with what I see. But to go back and view shots and replays of the swing isn't working. Sessions aren't saving even when I appropriately exit the session. There appears to be shots saved on the "cloud" but can't access it right now for some reason.

Also, the "shot view" camera started acting wonky. One point was completely left of the "impact view". Impact view had ball in the hitting box and aim line was like 45 degrees left not even into my net. Then it just quit working and would have no picture when trying to set up. Still got data on each ball. Also not getting club path data. I'm sure I'll get it fixed, but a little annoying to deal with. It's working for everything I wanted out of a unit if I'm being honest, but not able to access those extra features right now that put it over the edge compared to the other "budget" launch monitors.

I’ve never experienced that issue but if it persists delete and reinstall app and force update the firmware on the LM itself.

Also use the range not the “practice” mode. Practice mode sucks.

There's also a good discord group that seems to have threads on all the different launch monitors, set ups, etc. Can probably get good answers there.

It's called the SGT Simulator Golf Tour
