Thinking about going to the Houston Open the weekend of Veteran’s Day since I’m off (November 11-14). Last year had a pretty good field and this year already has some good commitments. Koepka, Lowry, Burns, Scheffler, and more are already committed. The tournament has recently been reimagined/revamped. General Admission tickets around $50.

Has anyone been there? Thoughts? Recommendations?

Memorial Park is a great location in town. You’ll be able to catch an Uber with no problem. Close to the Galleria Mall area and not far from Downtown Houston. Weather should be great temp wise.

Canyon creek or memorial trail ice house are good spot to Uber to and from.

Both are walking distance to the park, memorial trail ice house is a little further but you’ll enter the park at a cooler spot

I was sitting around talking to a few guys that played in a lot of the City Amateur events at Memorial Park through the years and to a man, none of them like the new design.

I have only played it once. If you miss the green, you will pay the price.

Should be a decent field and good weather.
