Just scheduled a fitting at my club for next week. I play a TSi 2 right now, so I should be able to do an apples to apples comparison on my shaft (unless they changed the adapter). I’ll report back

I'm not sure why Titleist always thinks their products are worth more than other companies.

It’s a direct reflection to their popularity. If the TSi and TSR tanked, these wouldn’t be priced where they are.

I’m tempted to just pull the trigger on the GT3 without getting fitted as I’m in the TSi3 now and love it. Saw the comment earlier about trying the GT2 though and it seems some tour players are gravitating to that model. Maybe take my shaft into a PGASS and try both- will they let you do that?

Discount Dans is selling the GT series for $569 w free shipping

I don't see why not. The guys in Katy are pretty flexible.

Had my fitting today and here were my results:

Apples to apples on my shaft (Accra FX, Love this shaft. Fitted by Buddha few years ago for my M2 and kept it when I went to the TSi 2):

GT2 vs my TSI 2:

+3 MPH club head speed
1.45 vs 1.50 smash
+6 ball speed
+14 total yards average
Dispersion was tighter, especially to the left side, and it helped correct a couple of pull swings.

Tried GT2 on a Graphite Design, Velacore Blue and the stock Tensi. Nothing outperformed my Accra.

The acoustics are pretty similar to the TSi but you can tell it’s not all metal anymore. Not in a bad way. If you’re coming from a TM or Ping, it’ll probably feel more familiar than the TS Titliests. To my eye, it looks like it sets up a tad more open than my TSi and the difference in shape is pretty noticeable. The GT looks more compact. In the stock setting, the swing weight felt lighter. He added a couple grams to the back weight and it matched up pretty well feel wise. He didn’t have a swing weight scale on the range.

The GT3 feels kinda crazy to me. Like a wooden bat. Sounds like that too. The fitter said he’s getting a lot of comments about the sound and feel. That said, one of the longest balls I hit today was with the GT3. Wasn’t as consistent as the 2 for me.

If didn’t pull the trigger yet. Kicking it around a bit.
