How did they look at address? Specifically, let's say a 4 iron compared to a 9 iron?

Yeah looking at a shaft with a little lower kickpoint. Somewhat weird numbers. Swing speed in low 90s. Ball speed in 120s to 130s with 7 iron. Spin around 4500.
What are you hitting the 7? Is this the AP3?

Looked nice at address. Definitely smaller and thinner than my i15s. Can't compare irons as these were the fitting irons.

I meant what kind of distance are you getting with those measurements.

Very long but good feel. Low spin (possibly a bit two low)
Yeah, because they have jacked lofts. They're only one less than the AP1s, which are super jacked since the 716 model. Due to the design and lofts, you should be getting around 10 yds more for each club, but your spin rate is going to suck.

Only going to carry up to a 6 iron then?

So what's the solution here?

He's not going to find a shaft that adds 2000 rpm. So unless he wants 25 yard gaps to deal with with his scoring irons and wedges, he's gonna have to go with something else.

What else would you suggest? I'm in a similar situation looking for new irons and had been considering Ap3. I play to a 10 handicap so I have that fear of ap2 being too little club for me.

If you think you'll like them, you still need to hit them. Just don't fall in love with the extra distance if it means you can't hold a green with an 8 iron. Most forgiving clubs out there now have jacked lofts but for two reasons. One is the distance obsession but it's also necessary because of the extra weight at the sole which adds height so you can sacrifice some spin. Apex CF16, JPX Forged, Srixon Z565 would be some forgiving soft clubs you could like the look and feel of. All forged. Shaft would be tougher to suggest without knowing way more and just as essential.

I have had ping g15s for some time now and then he lofts are pretty similar to the ap3s. I haven't had any issues before with holding greens on short to mid irons.
Just a tough decision but I think I just need to get out and hit some clubs.

I started out in ping G20s. Moved to the CF16 once I got down to a 12 HC and they added about 10 yards (first time I was fit). Now I'm in Srixon 765 with a different shaft. Same gaps but more spin. My 7 iron is 175 and stops.

What is considered? I feel like Edwin watts isn't a true fitting but maybe that was just my experience. I am looking into bebu golf for this next set.

I just realized too that all the swings were with the contact tape on. Probably going yo have to redo them
