The photo in the OP is not the photo in the Twitter link. The interpretations are different and subjective.
The first photo in the twitter link is not an ace. It’s not touching the flag, and is clearly an embedded ball, the flag isn’t touching it.
The one on the OP the flag is supporting it. Remove the flag and it falls (which it will given that geometry) and it’s an Ace.
I think the different situations is where some confusion may be coming from

Based on that pic, it’s an Ace. Here’s my reasoning.
1) If I hit it, I’m counting it. You don’t like it? You don’t get a cocktail, but you do get an invite to sonic.
