It is more than just the pace of play. I remember the club champion getting up after he was introduced and saying he's tired of being called oilfield trash. I started laughing.

I understand what you are saying but that’s the absolute wrong way to handle that situation. Talking to Greg or any board member would have immediately rectified that. That’s the thing, you have to remember at the end of the day he’s a fricking cart boy.

I had a cart boy at the club that made a large mistake (won’t get it into what on here) which made me and several other people very uncomfortable. I spoke to the right people and it immediately got fixed. That’s the chain of command and the backbone of how a club operates. Also, it costs 225 per month so you can’t expect it to be a well oiled business or operational powerhouse. It’s a country club in Houma so you kinda have to take it for what it is.

Right and that may just be a personal preference type thing or it just wasn’t the best fit. I find it very relaxing and I go up there to do crossword puzzles in the lounge when I need to get away. Regardless, that’s the good thing about country and social clubs, each one is suited to different people.

Yeah, that’s a mistake by the range/cart guy. Range is included in membership, he should have let you hit what you had.

Regarding the members, can’t let them spoil it. If you see someone acting like a jackass, tell them or let Greg know...they’ll normally address the issue. If the price bothers you, get an “out of town” membership, we’ve been considering it LOL. Or if you’re a really OT baller go buy Cournoyer’s mansion, think you get automatic Ellendale course ownership with the house

You’d need to spend double what he wants for the place to get it into the current century.

If you mean a monument to trashiness, I'm sure it is.

Yeah, it could be mistaken for a Liberace house.

Ain’t no way they’ll sell it, at least not at what they’re asking. Housing market is trash right now over there.

When the club pro allows 8somes on the course and those 8some dont let 1s and 2s play through. That's just one example

Just drive around them and skip the hole? What am I missing?
