Looks like maybe just not going to have the luxury of hitting 3H off the tee as much anymore and just made the par 3's a good bit harder.
In the email update they said the greens are running a 12-12.5, so that'll be nice. More of what I'm used to. Though I'm not going to practice on any greens in town this week because most of the local courses run about a 3 on the stimp meter

With your length, playing from the tips won’t be a problem as far as distance goes. Maybe a few more 7 or 8 irons into greens than you’re used to. You’ll be fine as long as you know where to aim your tee shots on a few holes.

Figured I'd give an update on how it went...
Saturday was a good day. Driver was on irons were decently on, and the putter was rolling really good. Won a skin with a birdie on #11.
My best hole might have actually been a bogey. #5 was our finishing hole and I pull out my hybrid and the guy in the cart with me says "the way you've been hitting your driver I'd go driver here." Not sure why I listened but I did and of course I hit it OB right. My only bad drive of the day. I drop and miss a little left of the green and it takes a huge hop into the shite. I'm looking at my ball and I'm so close to picking it up and taking another drop bc it was THICK and the pin was just on the edge. But I hack it out and it rolls nicely to about 10 feet. Sink the put to save bogey.
Shot a 77 and was in 2nd place and was on a bit of a high after saving that bogey and it being my first time playing there and from the tips.
Then Sunday happened
Won't rant but I just didn't have anything. Hit two drives OB and numerous others in the bunker. Hit a fairway bunker shot on #9 OB that just trickled in the shite but it was so thick I still lost it so had to drop and hit my 4th from the trap. Two triples and a double and nothing else good. Shot 87.
Pretty sure I finished in 7th I think but I'm still mad so I haven't even looked.
I've mentioned on here before that this is my first year back playing competitive golf (outside of my club championship last year) and I had very little first tee jitters Saturday but they kicked in Sunday and I just screwed it up all day. O well, I feel like I'll get better with that the more I play and am in contention more. It's not like it's big money on the line but it's still tournament golf.
Thanks to everyone who gave me tips
Course was in great shape and the greens were rolling smooth and fast. Was especially hard to get a chip shot to stop.

That’s great considering it was your first time seeing the course. Especially since it was in a tournament and from the tips.
How would you rank Tamahka against the other courses you’ve played on the tour so far?
Did they have the mango ice towels out?

1. Tamahka
2. Cypress Bend. Would be 1b. but it rained so much the week before so the greens were slow as molasses.
3. Oakwing
4. Calvert Crossing
5. Stonebridge. Didn't play in this one but it was my home course for a while and would have been higher in years past but it's going downhill.
6. Chennault
Still on the schedule: Links on the Bayou, Huntington, Frenchmen's Bend, Mystic Creek, and back to Tamahka.
I'm not going to make the Huntington one so I'm going to make it up by playing in a Dallas event at Pine Dunes. Really excited for that one. They say it's incredible.

Golf gods assessed the penalty...

And kept assessing it all day Sunday as well
