Thinking about giving a few rounds out as Christmas presents this year to some friends. How is everything looking over there lately? How do the greens usually look in January?

Sorry, I meant in general this time of year. I’ve only been playing since the spring and don’t know what courses look like or how they play in the winter

Greens were faaaaasst when we went out about a month ago. Course was in great shape. A few clumps of weeds here and there but was a good time.

Played Friday after the rain all day Thursday. Greens are super freaking quick and in great shape. Course was wet overall, but in good shape otherwise.

Great, thanks guys.

Also, side note not worthy of a new thread.
Looking for a new bag, can’t decide between cart or stand. I know for a fact I will never walk a course. So should I go with a cart bag? I’ve heard a few people say cart bags are douchey? I’m not a great golfer by any means. Been playing for less than a year and shoot in the mid 90s on a good day. I don’t want to look like some try hard out on the course haha.

I'm in the same boat. I am going with a cart bag. The days of carrying a bag are over for me.

I carry some now that I live on a course. But I kept a stand bag even before simply for standing it up while practicing either on the range or putting/chipping area. There are also other quicker moments like when you're loading and unloading where it's just nice to not worry about it tipping.

Id go with stand. I’m the same way and don’t walk but I like having the stand to make sure my bag doesn’t tip over.

Get a hybrid stand/cart bag. I have one made by Mizuno. It's light as hell so if you wanted to walk again you can
