Yes there is, in Humble. Conditions are spotty and not close to OP. Granted a potential fun round but if you are willing to spend some money Blackhorse, fits the bill.

jersey meadow is a slight step up from Sharpstown. They do a half decent job keeping the greens rolling

It is a bland layout but the past few times i played it, i was surprised at how fast the greens were

How about Golf Club of Houston? Don't they have a tournament there?

Course conditions look nice.
May book am round there and another at cypresswood. I see they have a cypress and a traditions course. Which is better?

25 years ago I got hit in the hip by a golf ball at Sharpstown.

Brought me to my knees, had to have the lump drained and I had a bruise for months.

Haven’t played there in awhile, some mornings they make you have caddies just FYI

It is usually listed on Golf Now Houston for $65.00 if you don't mind teeing off around noon.
