Looking at the golf packages in Kholer later this summer. Currently the only 1 night package is a round at the Straits and Meadows Valley. Would prefer to play the River course, has anyone played both? How is Meadows Valley compared to River?

I’ve played the river course twice and the meadows course once. Both fantastic but river course >>>>meadows course

River course has tons of elevation changes along with a river that meanders along the course. The meadows course is really nice but not on the same level. It is more of a course around farmland—gentle rolling hills with fewer trees. Nice barns in the background

Played both in ‘16 when LSU traveled up to Lambeau Field.

River Course was unbelievable. Pristine, challenging & very scenic. Tough course & my swing left me - literally got the shanks on the first hole & had to work out of it.

Meadows course was definitely a step down. Still in great shape but was exposed & very windy & the front 9 was a little boring. Back 9 was better. Still worth playing.

Are u playing Whistling Straits or no? Is rank the 4 courses as follows:

1) Straits course
2) River @ Blackwolf
3) Irish @ Whistling
4) meadow Valley @ Blackwolf

I played the Straits and the River in May of 2015. Didnt do one of their packages, just booked the times and the hotel room separately. I was looking at packages for this summer and the only 1 night package included The Straits and Meadows valley.

I wannted to know if meadows valley was worth paying a tad less money by going with a package deal instead. But I really wanna play the River course again.

LMK how it goes. When we went we drove up from Chicago. One thing that really caught my eye was the progression of the Spring season. It looked and felt like spring in Chicago was almost over while just a couple hrs north in Sheboygan it looked like spring was just getting started. The native fescue on both courses was just starting to come back from the winter so your ball wasn't totally lost if u missed the fairway. It was also like 10 degrees cooler.
