My only gripe with Quail Hollow is the fuzziness and inconsistency of the greens. Last 3 times I’ve played, they were plenty full enough, but the grass was long and I couldn’t get a read on the speeds

Played there Sunday, could not make myself hit the putts hard enough to get to the hole.

It’s in the best shape it has ever been in. Only gripe is a few of the sprinkler heads near the greens seem to be leaking.

That’s not saying much but enjoy

Lol go play santa for 60 bucks and have a 6.5 hr round. Or drive an hour for Beaver.

Played Beaver yesterday. The greens aren't good right now. Recently punched, very sandy, and dying in some spots on almost every green.
The fairways look great, but cart had no sand to fill divots.
Is it that hard to find employees who love and respect the game to take care of these courses?

You really think BREC’s grounds crews give a shite? The majority of them don’t play golf and have little to no knowledge of the game in general.

Can confirm. Just got done at Beaver. Really wish someone would’ve told us when our guy booked that greens were punched and topped dressed, we would’ve played elsewhere. Was like plinko. Fairways were primo and pace of play wasn’t bad at all. Still nobody sands divots or fixes pitch marks which is really just a show of how lazy and incompetent people are these days.

For future reference, call the course for course conditions. They did mention aeration and that the greens were sandy. After hearing this I didn’t make the long trip out.

One guy books our weekly outings about a month out. We usually play every Friday and some play Saturday mornings. He did apologize and said there was a recording if you call but he does it all online and collects the money for green fees and bets via Venmo because he works shift work and can’t always make it to play.

We played Clark last weekend just to see how the reno was and it was decent, the greens were in decent shape for the price. Infinitely better than City Park.

most BREC courses will be punching and sanding by the end of the month...

Played Santa Maria Thursday it’s still so freaking wet, then beaver on Friday, the greens were terrible, fairways great but greens need time, played copper mill Saturday and it was a really really nice round. I’d say it’s the best public course in the BR area right now.
