Golf Courses in Broken Bow

Me and my wife are planning a trip to Broken Bow early March. Looking to get a round of golf in. Anyone has any recommendations on which course to play?

I played Cedar Creek, thought it was in good shape....course offers some nice elevation changes,,,greens were slow though.
I'd definitely play it again.

I went to the public course in Broken Bow itself last year. It sucked. Small flat circle greens on every hole. Rocks in the fairway.
Many places had run offs with slopes that your ball would run into. White ball running into an area filled with white rocks made no sense. I brought the clubs to play everyday only played once. There was a course that was on the way in that looked nice but I couldn’t justify the drive back through the traffic to get there. Probably an hour outside of broken bow.
FYI: traffic sucks there on weekends. It doesn’t move at all.
Also if you’re arriving on a weekend stop at the grocery store on the way into town. This way as soon as you arrive you’re not getting right back in traffic to get food. We made that mistake.

Is the public course and Cedar Creek the same thing?

Yes, sorry I couldn’t remember the name. In my opinion it was in a worse condition than any local muni’s around Baton Rouge. That was July of last year.

So literally the opposite of what Guzzlingle said lol. We may have a big group of us going in August. Are there any other courses nearby (less than an hour drive)

Unfortunately no. I’m not a golf snob and play a lot of different places. It sucked in my opinion. Their signature hole on the lake is a dog leg left par 4. I hit three wood straight away. You drive up to a sign that says turf farm and you must drop another place.
If you’re going with a group you can have have fun. It wasn’t expensive but every green was flat, a circle and slow. Some holes and fun elevation changes. The pro shop is a dump as well.

That sucks. Seems like a tourist place like that would have a decent golf course around.
