Planning a big trip this spring, we played Bandon last August and that was incredible. Was considering going up to Cabot or Kohler, WI area but open to different options.

Pinehurst is really good. Are any of you guys a member at a nice club? If so, that can open up the opportunities.

I went to Branson at Thanksgiving. It has a bunch of nice places to play.

ETA: Vegas

It depends if you guys are looking for pure golf or you want to party a little bit too?

Pinehurst is not a great place to party, but amazing golf (architecturally as well). If you care about golf architecture, then that's going to matter.

Here's the top 3 places I'd go if I just wanted to play unfiltered golf, no partying, nothing besides wake up at 6am, play 36 holes 4 days in a row, bed by 9pm, and done with it (excluding that youve already been to Bandon)

1. Pinehurst
2. Kohler, Wisconsin
3. Sand Valley / Mammoth Dunes
4. Streamsong

If you want to go to a good city/area, play 36 some days, 18 other days, and party a little bit and really want lush courses but don't care if you're on a Tillinghast/Ross/Maxwell design:

1. Scottsdale, AZ
2. Tampa/Orlando mini road trip
3. Monterey Peninsula

If cost is a variable at all:

1. Vegas
2. Dallas
3. Atlanta
4. Columbus, Ohio

If cost isn’t an issue:
Bandon Dunes
Pebble Beach area
Kohler

Moderate:
Hilton Head, SC
Pinehurst, NC
Scottsdale, Az

Lots of options for less money:
Atlanta
Florida
Vegas

Bandon has 4 of the top 9 public golf courses in the state. So you won't top that anywhere.

Pinehurst is next best to continue to knock out several of the best courses in the country on one trip.

I did Erin Hills and Sand Valley (One of Bandon's properties), it was a great trip. Wish I could have made it to Whistling too.

Would recommend Wisconsin.

Never did North Carolina but it is next on the to-do list.

That’s an easy one...
Vegas. Lots a great courses to play and then great nightlife.

You should also consider staying down at Streamsong in Florida and playing their 3 courses.

Pebble Beach is overrated and not worth the price IMO.
