Why can’t they just be nice and helpful. It’s either confrontational or they don’t speak with anyone that’s walking around looking at anything. Had a $300 gift card asked to see a couple of clubs. Got “sure they’re right over there”. Spent another 20 minutes looking around and no one says a word. Not even, “did you find what you’re looking for”. Makes me crazy. Guess I’ll go down to the store in Kenner where they have always been a little better.

I’ve always been treated right at the one in BR

Kenner is by far the better of the two stores.

I find that most guys who work at any golf stores are assholes. The young kids are usually better, but the older guys act like they hate their job and they have something better to be doing.

If you're talking about the one in BR, ask for Jeff. He's the store manager and he's almost always there

I’ve only ever dealt with Jeff and he’s been good, never pressured me to buy anything and has let me hit a bunch of clubs

Sucks you had a bad experience but mine was good there. Let me hit all the shafts I wanted, didn’t rush, and promptly placed my order with no delays on delivery. If we had more than one golf store in BR them maybe i would be more critical but at this point I feel lucky that they’re still here.

This. Jeff has been there for 20+ years. Super friendly dude.

I like Jeff. He was Will some other people. No one else gave a crap.

I know of the young kid they have at the one in BR. Easily the most helpful and interested person there.
I feel like Edwin Watts just needs some good competition in the area to be any better than they are now.

Honestly, I wouldn’t expect much more from Kenner.
Here’s the sad truth.
75% of the salesmen’s clientele have no desire to purchase from them. They want to use any knowledge, demos, launch monitors and purchase online or from whatever club they have shop credit at.
In the meantime, they wasted a great portion of the salesman’s hours when they could have sold a shirt and got commission.
You can only hear the same stories so many times...
“Man... my driver now, I’m averaging about 285, right down the middle every time, just need more distance. I want you to fit me for a new one”. Proceeds to hit every head and shaft in the shop. “This monitor must be off!!! Says I’m hitting it 245 and slicing every time!!! Guess I’ll just keep what I have.”
Not to mention these dudes are severely underpaid.
