Do you tinker with your clubs?

How much customization are you guys going with in your golf bag?
I think everyone can agree that getting fitted for clubs is a really good idea. But some of us are going even further. Do you stamp your wedges? Tip out your shafts? Do you rock the stock headcovers? Do you have a custom putter? Custom ferrules? Do you put on your own grips? Reshaft your own clubs? Do you play your clubs straight off the rack?
Personally I've gotten into tinkering with my wedges and some old irons. I enjoy the hell out of it. There are some cool how-to channels on YouTube to demonstrate how to restore old clubs. Only problem I've got right now is it's too damn hot in my garage.
One day I will probably try to build a youth set for my kids with some of the old stuff I have laying around. Anybody ever tried that?

I’ve sent my Scotty from 1995 to the Custom Shop and I have a set of old Vokeys with my initials stamped that are just sitting around. All my current clubs are custom fit, but I don’t get anything customized solely for looks. I do my own grips and currently play GP MCC plus 4 midsize. Best grips I’ve ever swung.
I got fit for my Bettinardi putter last year and going back to Studio B in two weeks to get another one. I’m more into trying different driver shafts and tweaking my settings right now.
I’ve never done the full custom stuff down to the ferrells, but I do like the look with a nice set of irons. I just rather put that extra money towards another club these days. I hate stock headcovers. I currently have a custom set of Jan Craig covers for my 3wood and driver.

I have a couple of putters that are engraved.
I like the idea of personalized stuff.
I’ll do some wedges soon.

I enjoy reshafting my own clubs. I don't do it a lot tho.
