Beating me probably won’t get you invited to the Masters or anything. You’d just be beating a generous old man.

The key for me in any golf match is having a great partner. Especially IF he’s a 7 that plays like a 2 for 36 holes.

I kid one of my partners in events that he is “Sea Biscuit” and I’m just the jockey.

I’ll play “to the post” on my phone when I see him on the range before the shotgun starts.

I even wear shirts with horse racing themes when we are partners. He laughs so hard and calls me “Elmer” the glue horse. We’ve won some shop credit over the years, but we’ve also failed to even show.

So my Dad surprised me with a set of Top Flights.

10.5 Driver
3 Wood
5 Wood
6 - 9 with wedge Irons
Putter

I have hits about 300 balls and the clubs feel great. It is nice to be able to go out to the range and hit balls. My son likes to go and sit in his little chair and watch.

I am going to continue to practice on the range and chip/putt areas and will be ready for the course in spring.
