Cart batteries question

I bought a 48v 2006 club car. It currently has 4 deep cycle 12v batteries with one of them being an automotive battery. Would you guys recommend going to 6 8v batteries or sticking with 4 12's (which i can't even find locally) or something else.

(4) 12’s. If you are in BR go to Wholesale Battery. Just make sure you keep the water level up all year.

I’m in br and had to get my 12 volts in Lafayette. I have a 72v cart. Six 12 volt Trogan deep cycle wasn’t cheap.
