Mid Amateur. 2 back on the final day going to 10, drivable par 4, missed it right in the trees. Tried for the hero shot....let’s just say it didn’t work.
Triple, double and shot myself out of the only chance I’d ever have of playing at Augusta.
Still kicking myself for that.

Club Championship a bunch of years ago. I am in first flight, three strokes back. Standing on 16 tee one up over the leader and -1 on the day. Really reaby good for me.
Par 5. Stroke a drive. Decide to lay up short of a trap that is about 100 from the green. Hit a 8, my 155 club...with adrenaline and all kill it and it flies into bunker and plugs, stroke 3...I try to splash out, leave in bunker and it rolls back into the belly....stroke 4, belly a wedge, goes OB over back of green! Drop 5, fried egg. Wedge out on 6, hit green on 7, two putt. A 9.
from 265 out, a 9.
I didnt win.
