Anyone play recently? I saw Swagga say it wasn’t good in another thread but hasn’t replied to me about details. Playing there Sunday.

It’s getting better, just nothing to write home about. Poa coming through on a lot of the greens, 2,4, 10 and 15 has some bad spots on the green.

Apologize, I didn’t see your post in the other thread.

It’s getting better, but for almost 60 bucks it’s just not a place I’d recommend right now to someone coming from out of town looking for quality golf.

Letting everyone go during COVID really put the course behind the 8 ball. Those guys have their work cut out for them.

Thanks. We play there every year in March for our golf league. Last year, the bunkers were bad but the greens were rolling great.

A buddy played it yesterday and said it’s in worse shape than when we played last month. No grass on the greens.

Hope it comes back around.

I worked there in the summer of 2003 when I was at LSU and it was absolutely primo.

Course was in incredible shape.

Head pro Stan Stopa played in the Masters after winning the Pub Links.

I used to play it when I was in college. Think it was $7 with a student ID. Pre-renovation. Had a hole where the tress had grown completely across the fairway. Had to fly them or go under

That was #4. I remember it well.

One of the local pros told me years ago that some of old oaks will never be cut or even trimmed. Tree lovers in NOLA won’t allow it. And this is part of the problem around greens like 10 and 15. Too much shade.

They should just trim them and not say anything. The tree lovers would never know
