Xbox error code 100 and 101 when system is updating help?

Tried unplugging the wires connected to the disk player on the inside of the system and replugging them in, tried offline update with a usb, and erasing the entire system. Still getting the same error codes during the end of the second of three updates. Anyone have any luck with a fix?
