Okay I’m an Atlas Veteran and legend and I’ve been getting my arse BLASTED for a while now k on n hard. I dare someone not to jrpg familiar to try this
You don’t inherit or customize persona/demon skills like in the persona series so if you didn’t get a demon with what you want you are frick or ya grind

You actually can using the essence fusion technique. You can get different skills on different demons when you find the essences. It's definitely not as convenient as inheriting skills via persona fusion in P5.

So if I unseat essence is a consumable material you find that you use to customize demon/ persona move set?

Exactly. It's one use usually, but if there is a demon who's essence you want, you can always farm it/buy it in the item shop.
