Why is my upload speed so slow on PS4?

Yeah, yeah, PS4…poor.
I have 1 gig internet and a cat 8 cable from my modem to the PS4, yet my upload speed won’t go above 1.7-1.9.
Internet speed tests are fine on phone, computer and everything else…not the PS4.
Help?

I have the same issue as do most people. Apparently the PS4 has really shitty wifi hardware.
The limiting factor is almost certainly just your PS4 and not your network and probably not interference.
There are settings people advise tinkering with, like the DNS ones, but I've only found them to make marginal difference if at all.
If it's important you could use an actual wired LAN connection and that will probably help, course depending on where your router and PS4 are that may not be possible.

Pretty much.
The PS4 Pro and Slim models got newer Wifi 5 cards that are decent though.
