I'll be getting it a few days after it comes out. Won't be in town on the 13th.

Play eashl, probably the best mode in any sports games.

No. Each player controls one player on the ice. Play in leagues, advance up in rank, etc. Very fun.

Personally, I hate ultimate team.

I probably will, hard for me to not get it every year just such a fun game.

Biggest tip is learn to pass and use passing to maintain pressure in the offensive zone, look for a good shot from the point or a 1 timer.

Passing is probably the biggest key in the game.

I agree 100 percent with passing. The passing can be tricky, becoming very comfortable with passing will allow you to maintain puck possession and get a high volume of shots on net.

Also, being new to hockey games get as many games under your belt as you can. You'll pick up on how the game flows, what strategies work in Hockey, and what are the most effective ways to score.

I play a ton of EASHL with friends, highly recommended. I also really enjoy ultimate team as it is less exploited as Madden. You don't encounter as many super teams.

Yep I'm a big HUT player and love the game. Biggest thing is play defense. Learn it and just grind out periods

Being that you are a rookie, if you jump into EASHL or the drop in games, I highly suggest you play as a defenseman and pick two way defenseman as your player type. This will allow you to get a feel for the game, but at the same time let you slowly increase your level of comfortability with the controls. If you play as a defensemen please understand that your primary job is preventing the other team from scoring. So you may not see a ton of pucks coming to you to take shots with and that's fine. capitalize on the times you get the puck and make the smart play, whether that is making another pass or taking a shot from your position. In terms of positioning, your defensemen should play from your own net to right in front of the blue line of the opposite side of the ice.

Personally, I think it's easier than FIFA.

However, it usually takes me about two weeks to figure out exactly how to score well with each new NHL game.
