Well if we are recapping this past year...
San Andreas - I had a great time playing it, liked it more than gta4.
AC brotherhood - great game, not as good as 2 I agree but a very good sequel
Max Payne 1 and 2 - picked them up at steam sale and had fun playing these, I missed way too many games like this over the years.
Bf3 - game was badass but I played little multiplayer and beat the campaign so I never got the full effect.
Tomb raider -this was my first pc game with the new rig, it was an amazing experience. The graphics were great and I enjoyed basically all but the ending. Definitely one of my favorite games of the year.
Crysis - cool game, bad AI I felt and I didn't enjoy killing aliens that much.
Bioshock infinite - my first bioshock and it was awesome. Gameplay was average but the setting, story, and art were amazing.
Gta4 - the longer it went on the more I wanted it to end. I felt like there were some good missions that would have been better if I didn't spend most of them driving. Being able to restart a mission from a checkpoint instead of the hospital would have helped a lot along ith not driving to another island for every mission. I felt like I never learned the cities but I learned the bridges real well.
Infamous - fun games but it was amazing to me, averagely good
Uncharted - fun, good story, that's it. I can see where it would have been amazing when the ps3 just came out.
AC revelations - not the worst but no point, could have just not made the game. It brought nothing to the series IMO.
arkham asylum - fun game, not as good as city was too me.
Last of us - while I wanted to hate this because the hype was annoying, it was a great game and my game of the year so far.
Arkham city - loved it, possibly my favorite game I played all year.
Tl;dr I played a lot of games, especially old ones.

Great list of games.
I forgot I also played and finished Journey last week. It was a good experience. Don't know how to classify it other than an experience. Very short. Great graphics and music.
I also have been playing Sleeping Dogs. I'm about 2 hours in and it's been pretty cool so far. I like the combat system although I think Arkham's is slightly better. I don't have a lot of moves yet, though.

Wow, I don't know that I could even list everything I've played for the year. I just meant what have you been playing lately, but thanks for sharing. I was thinking of doing this thread every month or so just to get a feel for what everyone is into and give the board a chance to discover some games they might have missed, myself included.
Anyway...Journey is one of my favorite games of this generation. A very unique experience that I recommend everyone playing if they can.
I just started getting into Tomb Raider tonight (on my 360 - friend let me borrow it) and it's pretty fun. I ordered Heavy Rain from Amazon and should have it by the weekend. I'll probably force myself to beat Tomb Raider before I dive into it, though.
It is funny playing TR right after playing Uncharted 3. The 2 games or SO different tonally but also have a lot of similarities.
