Want to switch my D to one

Is this really what we anchored our dynasty threads for?
Any one you want. just pick 3-4. You better be good to run a 3-4. A good user will average 5 yds a carry against a 3-4.

I think it's the complete opposite.
I use the Multiple D, but I run the 34 probably 95% compared to the 43. And I have WAY more success stopping the run with my LBs filling the gaps. I find it's easy to run on a 43. If you follow ur FB, it's easy to get to the 2nd level, plus running outside with stretches and tosses against 3 LBs as opposed to 4 is also easier.
That's just my take.

Some teams have 3-4 as their default D but they suck at running it. I played in my dynasty with ND and they are a 3-4 team. But they suck a LB and have two good tackles and two good ends.

This is true but just imagine if the NT got double teamed like he does in real life. The 3-4 would be unstoppable if that happened

WVU (run a 335 playbook, its got 34 in it)
Marshall
Tenn maybe
Ala runs it in real life but on the game i think they have the 43 default
Navy maybe?

The 3-4 playbook is probably the best I've seen. If you're playing a team that runs a spread, you can run the 2-4-5 if you have athletic linebackers, or the 3-2-6 if you need to utilize DBs in place of the LBs. Walk the MLBs up to the line in any case, no matter if they're in zone, man, spy, or blitz.
3-4 has some good packages. I use primarily the "Even" set and at times I'll use "Under". Depends on who you're playing and what their tendencies are. Recruit heavy on OLBs and DEs. You can convert OLBs to MLBs if you lack depth at that position, which in most cases will give you more speed. The DT is merely a "hole-plugger." Won't register high on the statistic sheets with tackles, but he'll bust up things in the middle and force the RB to bounce it outside. If your LBs are athletic and have good reaction, they'll mop up the rest. Get you a set of SSs that are big enough to play LB if need be, but athletic enough to play deep coverage and man occasionally.
I've had a ton of success with the 3-4. It helps you with recruiting as well, because DTs are one of the positions hard to come by if you want extraordinary talent.
