the masterpiece that was Horizon

Just purchased Horizon about a week ago. I see what the hype was all about.

But had a terrible publisher in NCSoft.
They aren't terrible. They just cared about Guild Wars more.

NCSoft didn't cut the head off Paragon Studios and locked the IP in a vault for GW but Blade and Soul.

The bad part was the game made money for them just not enough. Needed the resources allocated to CoH servers to launch B&S in NA.

Edt: How they handled the situation was shtty. Ppl just spent money on new in game items and semi expansion only to have the announcement for the cut within the same month. Really shtty, the studio wasn't even aware of anything. They just came in one day and said everyone get out. That is what makes them shtty.

There was a hump I had to get over for sure. But something finally clicked.

Understand this, but I knew you would love this game since it reminds me of FallOut play. Not the game play mechanics but unlocking an open world through side quests and notes/recordings/items.

It is starting to pull me in. Just have a feeling I know what the main mission is all about and what happened. Is it that obvious or do we have a good twist?

It seems pretty straightforward at first when you first start to learn what exactly happened, but more of the story unfolds little by little and I had a few "oh jeez" moments. Trying not to spoil anything, but I felt it was a tragically beautiful story. But yeah, over the length of the story it was "oh this is what was happening.......but why did.......oh ok.........HOLY CRAP, WHAT?"

And I will say there was a sequence right before the final encounter that I think was the most fun I've had in a game in some time. Like if you played the Titanfall 2 campaign, when they gave you the smart pistol and a "playground" and said "have fun", kind of like that. I was giddy.
